Mullingar Community College has developed a long and illustrious tradition of meeting the educational needs of the student population of the greater Mullingar area.
This tradition has been built from a dedicated desire to give our pupils the best educational experience possible, and to offer them as many opportunties as are available
Over the years we have continued to expand our range of programmes to meet the needs of our changing times. At present we offer a range of seven different programmes. These programmes are designed to give the maximum possible choice to our students while meeting with the needs of the individual. The programmes vary in their content and indeed focus so as to try to engage the student in worthwhile educational development suitable to their personal goals and needs.
Depending on the programme chosen students may use a variety of different learning methods and approaches. This can vary from regular class work and homework, to field trips and associated research or in some cases to setting up a small business.
Whatever the method or approach the student is on a constant learning curve comprised of research, study, investigation, analysis, social skills, interaction with peers, teachers and others, sport and its associated rules and regulations, or just having fun with their classmates. It is all a learning experience from which the student will grow and be enriched.
If you have any queries or concerns relating to these programmes we invite you to discuss your queries with any of the programme leaders, course tutors or the principal. It is important that your son / daughter follows a programme to suit their individual needs
