The senior public speaking team bowed out gracefully on Friday 18th February after a heart stopping regional final held in Mullingar Arts Centre. Ronan Fox, Oisin Glennon and Kavi Patak came very close to winning. They can be justifiably proud of their performance not only on the day but throughout the entire competition.

Tsunami disaster fund raising venture

A working group of students, mainly from fifth year, held a very successfuly fund raising coffee morning and sale of work in the college. €2,000 was raised. This money will be presented to Father Gilmartin, the college chaplain, so that it can be added to the money already contributed by the parish. The studentas have proposed that the money be put towards re establishing schools in Sri Lanka so that children can get back to education.

Hamlet, as street theatre!

Auditions are underway in the college for Hamlet, to be performed in April. Following a meeting with all interested students it was proposed to perform two scenes from the play (as street theatre) and to use it as a charity fund raising venture.
