New Grant Applications for 2012-13

 
Getting ready to apply for a Student Grant – Documentary Evidence
 
Here’s a short list of things you can be getting together well before the applications process opens in May 2012 – this will save you time later!
 
 
·         If you/your parents are employed, a P21 Balancing Statement form for 2011, available from the Revenue office, Pearse St. Athlone, or by ringing 1890 777425, or online at www.revenue.ie;
 
·         If you/your parents are employed, the P60 for 2011, and/or any P45 if you/your parents left a job in 2011;
 
·         If you/your parents are self-employed, e.g. a farmer or tradesperson, you need to get;
    1. Notice of Assessment for 2011, available from the Revenue office, Pearse St. Athlone, or by ringing 1890 777425, or online at www.revenue.ie, and;
    2. Accounts for 2011;
 
·         If you/your parents receive any payments from Social Welfare, contact the social welfare office/department and ask them for a letter stating the type of payment it is and how much in total was received in 2011
 
·         Your full (long) birth certificate
 
 
Details of how to apply will be available later in the year at: www.studentfinance.ie, which you should keep checking regularly. As soon as the applications process opens – which is expected to be in May 2012, make sure to apply immediately. Don’t delay, for any reason, even if you’re waiting for an offer of a place in college.
