Part Time Training Athlone VTOS

The part time classes take place in the Adult Education Centre and are available mornings, afternoons and evenings to suit the needs of participants and run for 30 weeks for 2-10 hours a week.

The following programmes will be offered in Athlone VTOS in September 2011 subject to demand:

Morning Programme

FETAC Level 4 IT Skills and Computer Applications 

Afternoon Programme

FETAC Level 4 IT Skills, Computer Applications and Data Entry 

Evening Programme

Leaving Certificate Maths

 Certification:

Certification is provided through FETAC

Duration:

One year Part Time

Progression Routes:

These programmes offer a bridge to other second chance courses

Fee:

Free tuition is available to those in receipt of unemployment payments or means tested social welfare benefits, those with a medical card and those with less than upper secondary education. Other unwaged people may be entitled to a reduction in fees. The remainder will be charged fees. Generally people will not be paid while doing a BTEI course but they will not lose any of their social welfare entitlements.
