Part Time Training Adult Education Centre Mullingar
The Back to Education Initiative (BTEI) provides part time education programmes in order to give people an opportunity to combine learning with family, work and other responsiblities.
Anyone who has left full time education can take part, but priority will be given those with less than upper secondary education. Remember it is never too late to learn and catch up on opportunities missed out on at school and/or update your skills.
The following courses will be offered in the Adult Education Centre, Mullingar from January 2009 subject to demand:

IT Skills, Computer Applications, Data Entry, Communications, Maths, Personal Effectiveness, Manual & Computerised Bookkeeping |
Certification:
Certification if desired may be provided through FETAC
Mode of Attendance:
The classes are flexible and can be offered on a part time basis in mornings, afternoons and weekends.
Duration:
One year- part time
Progression Routes:
These programmes offer a bridge to other second chance courses
Fee:
Free tuition is available to those in receipt of unemployment payments or means tested social welfare benefits, those with a medical card and those with less than upper secondary education. Other unwaged people may be entitled to a reduction in fees. The remainder will be charged fees. Generally people will not be paid while doing a BTEI course but they will not lose any of their social welfare entitlements.
